This is a vintage Maimana Kilim hall runner. A Caucasian, decorative hallway carpet or rug, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1990.

• Usefully sized runner at 61cm (24”) x 200cm (78.75”)
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Artisan hand-crafted using traditional skills with minimal wear or fading
• Maimanas are woven without pile, ideal for laying either side

• Distinctive geometric patterns a hallmark of this region’s carpets
• An array of coloured diamonds with a broad white outline create a centrepiece panel
• Further decorated with a sawtooth border in alternating colours and short, loose tassels to both ends
